Ben Boothman

Ben studied Agriculture with Crop Management at Harper Adams University for 4 years before graduating in the summer of 2011. While at university Ben was awarded the Syngenta Scholarship which included a year’s industry placement with Syngenta, Cambridge in both the Trials and Marketing departments. Although the newest member to the group Ben has worked in the industry for many years and now resides back in Yorkshire to mix his love for farming alongside a career in independent agricultural consultancy.

Ben’s role includes all aspects of general farm management from farm budgeting to cultivation’s. His specialist area however is in crop management. In addition to this Ben carries out consultancy work investigating waste deployments, assessing both the agricultural benefits and disadvantages of different waste streams. Although his main role is providing agronomic advice, Ben’s an active farmer and has a good grounding and understanding in the practicality of many on farm issues.
